So she cried

She tried to reach out to us
Our eyes were closed
Our ears were sealed
We didn't care enough to heed her grief

When she lost, she was alone
With no one to stand by her
She tried to tell herself that
One day she will not be alone
anymore

And though she tried we chose to be
Unaware, because we couldn't see
Such a pain unbearable
With a heavy heart she's on her knees
Trying to hold back the tears she sheds
But she can't

And so she cried
Hoped for us to hear
To bear with her the loss
And help her make it through
But all we did was turn our backs
Leaving her to grieve alone
To a void where love was once a part
And hopelessness is all she's got
And so she cried

Desperate to fill the void within
She tried to find what she once had
Going bed to bed
In hope to see him once again

We never did think twice
Of the advantages that we took
Her sorrow and her grief
Helped us fill the needs we had

And though she tried we chose to be
Unaware, because we couldn't see
Such a pain unbearable
With a heavy heart she's on her knees
Trying to hold back the tears she sheds
But she can't

And so she cried
Hoped for us to hear
To bear with her the loss

But all we did was use her loss
To fill our lonely hearts
And a void where love was not a part
And hopelessness was all that's left
And so she cried

Confused and out of luck
She started to lose hope
And when she couldn't see his face
She did no longer know herself

And yet we didn't understand
nor did we care about
Where she was at
Or whatever happened next

And so she died
Because we couldn't hear
And bear with her the loss
That turned her soul to dust
For all she had was now long gone
And all her memories had faded
To a void where nothing yet remained
And hope's, since long, been gone
And now she's dead

And no one even knows
